Young Africans of Tanzania will feel cheated after VAR failed to declare that Aziz Ki’s effort in the second half crossed the line.

This is the controversy that Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria witnessed in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals between Sundowns and Young Africans.

After 90 minutes of a fully fierce contest, both sides could not break the deadlock and the game ended goalless.

No extra time was needed and hence the game went straight to penalties. Sundowns won 3-2 on penalties against the incredible Young Africans.

Al Ahly 2-0 Simba SC

In Cairo, Al Ahly won 2-0 through El Solia and Kahraba’s 99th-minute penalty against Simba SC.

The Tanzanians showed why many think that they will challenge the big boys on the big stage in the coming seasons with Grade A displays even though were beaten by the defending champions.

Al Ahly showed how good they are by managing the game with their immense experience.

El Solia and Kahraba’s goals in the 47th and 99th minute made the difference in the second half.
