The best way for Ghana to get much talent in sports is to invest heavily and pay much attention to sports at the various basic and secondary schools across the country.

Academies for grooming young talents are very limited in Ghana, hence making the country miss so many talented sporting personalities.

Sports in Ghana are at an all-time low with Football, Boxing and Athletics, where the country used to excel on the world stage, has been battered for so many reasons.

The newly appointed Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has suggested to the government that school sports need much attention as it is where the talents are all at.

“We need to activate school sports and school competitions because that’s where the talents are. We need partnerships and must get the private sector on board,” Haruna Iddrisu said.

Both private and government schools used to compete together where the best of the best were spotted and trained for the various disciplines.
