The talk from the English media have all been a return to the 3 at the back system that helped England reached the 2020 European Cup finals. Southgate has a higher wining rate with back three than four at the back and hence many expect him to go for his favourite back.

Three Lions have looked pretty poor in Germany so far with Southgate’s tactics and formation not suiting the team.

People have called for many changes in the team but the head coach is expected to not make too many.

Switzerland have been one of the best teams in Euro 2024. Everything has been on point for Murat Yakin’s side with Xhaka and Freuler dictating the gane from the midfield. Manchester City and Newcastle United center backs, Akanji and Schar have been so solid at the back for Switzerland.

Swiss will fancy their chances against the unimpressive England after comfortably eliminating Italy. They have proven to be the masters of the back three system and are ready to school England.

Netherlands will lock horns against Turkey on Saturday night for a place in the semi-finals. The Oranje rout Romania in the quarter-finals 3-0 and looked like a wonderful team that can go far.

Ronald Koeman was a happy man with how his side suffocated Romania’s right back and left back with constant attacks. Cody Gakpo has been Dutch’s best player so far and scored a superb goal in their 3-0 win in the Round 16 as much is expected from him on Saturday night.

Turkey announced to the fotball world once again that they are fighters after the scintillating 2-1 win over Austria in the Round 16.

Skipper Hakan Cahanoglu is set to return after missing Austria’s tie. Arder Guler is expected to start once again upfront. Merih Demiral who scored twice against Austria will miss the Dutch game due to suspension.
