Austria has been among the top three teams that have played extremely well in the tournament. Ralph Rangnick’s side have shown so many qualities that they have what it takes to travel far in Germany.
Tactically, Rangnick has been more than spot on with his side showing great flexibility. He has been changing players positions and roles which has been confusing his opponents. Konrad Laimer, Marcel Sabitzer and Baumgartner have all been used in different positions and roles making it difficult for opponents to plan well against them.
Turkey beat Czech Republic in their final game of the group 2-1 to cement a place in the knockout stage.
Montella’s side was disgraced by Austria in Vienna at the Ernst Happel Stadion in a friendly game in March when the two teams met with Austria tearing Turkey apart 6-1.
Vincenzo Montella and his men would love to revenge the disgrace.
Turkish captain Hakan Cahanoglu is enjoying the tournament as he was expectd to link up with Real Madrid youngster Arda Guller on the right hand side for Turkey but he will miss the game due to yellow cards. Turkey will miss him because he is a cog in their midfield.
Turkey love to open up and attack their opponents as they did against Georgia and Czechia.
Austria will be favorites per the performance they have put up so far in Germany but Turkey are always in to fight everyone.
