The last day of the Round 16 of Euro 2024 will see the poor Netherlands face Romania for a quarter-final berth.

Netherlands have not been so sensational in the tournament with Ronald Koeman’s side being so inconsistent. After beating Poland 1-0 in the first game, Dutch drew goalless with France and were flat in the 3-2 defeat against Austria.

Netherlands big problem has been their attack with star striker Memphis Depay yet to trouble defences and also bang in the expected goals.

Wout Werghost has always been an option and he will be expected to make the difference for Holland.

Cody Gakpo has been Netherlands’ brightest spot upfront and a lot will be expecting from him.

Romania on the other side will hope they will repeat their perfomnace in the 3-0 thrashing of Ukraine in their opening game of the tournament.

They were scintillating and a reprat of that performance will put Netherlands under immense pressure. Stanciu is due to lead Romania with his incredible displays. Dragusin, the Man’s, Marin, Hagi and Dragus are all ready to fight for Romania.

A place in the quarter-finals is at stake and hence a competitive fixture is expected from both sides. Romania’s aggression and intensity can cause problems for Netherlands.
