Drug abuse is rife in Ghana because the youth who engage in it have not been facing the law. There is no law to control drug abuse in Ghana, making many people think that it is okay to practice it in every corner of the world.
There are so many countries across the globe that frown upon drug abuse, especially the muslim states. They believe their country could collapse if they don’t take action against the use of unauthorised drugs.
News coming from Turkey in Europe, per Crime Check TV GH, says that two Ghanaians have been sentenced to 20 years each for conspiring to enter the country with TRAMADOL.

A young Ghanaian man based in Turkey has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by Turkish authorities for ‘smuggling’ tramadol into the country.
When returning to Turkey, Simon Arhinful is said to have asked his friend who was visiting Ghana to buy him tramadol.
Simon’s friend successfully passed security checks at the Kotoka International Airport but failed Turkish security checks and was arrested. In a set-up unknown to Simon, he walked gallantly to welcome his friend, only to be apprehended by Turkish security. Both friends were each given 20 years’ imprisonment when they were arraigned before a court in Turkey.
