In the final home game of the season, Nurudeen Amadu’s Samartex won 2-0 against second-place Accra Lions with Emmanuel Mamah and Ebenezer Ocran goals in each half rounding off an incredible season for the minnows.
In their second season, Samartex shocked everyone and won the GPL as their intentions were clear after matchday 10.
During the Coronation on Sunday, Obaa Pa Christy performed to the delight of the Samartex fans. Ghana’s Artiste of the Year, Stonebwoy was arranged to entertain the Samartex family on Sunday night after a superb season.
