Week 20 of the Ghana Premier League matches were played on Wednesday afternoon with Accra Hearts of Oak beaten at Bechem by Bechem United. Teenager Kofi Tompuo’s sole strike in the second half condemned Aboubakar Ouattara’s side to a 1-0 defeat. Bechem United has moved to fourth on the table with 36 points. They are four points behind leaders Gold Stars. The defeat means Hearts of Oak now has moved down to 5th on the table trailing the leaders by 4 points.

Dreams FC made it back to wins with a shocking 2-1 win at the Kpando Sports Stadium over Heart of Lions. Joseph Esso’s 17th-minute penalty for the Still Believe was cancelled by Nana Oppong’s 25th-minute goal. With 15 minutes to end the second half, Kofi Marshah snatched the winner for Dreams to help the club move to 12th place on 27 points.

Asante Kotoko at the Wenchi Town Park drew goalless against Young Apostles. The Porcupine warriors now sit second with a point behind leaders Bibiani Gold Star.

Bibiani Gold Star won 1-0 at Basake Holy Stars. Noah Nkoah’s second half goal made the difference for Frimpong Manso’s side. Gold Stars are now a point above Kotoko and has reclaimed the top spot.

Samartex came from behind to beat Medeama 2-1 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samraboi. Emmanuel Owusu’s opener on the stroke of half time for the visitors was cancelled in the second half. Samartex took the lead in the 77th minute and won the 3 points in a fantastic fashion. The defending champions are now 8th on the league log and are a whooping 9 points behind the leaders.
