Week 33 of the Ghana Premier League got underway on Saturday afternoon with Asante Kotoko beating Real Tamale United 2-0 at the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre in Nalerigu.
Second-half goals from Peter Acquah and Bernard Somua helped Asante Kotoko end any thoughts about relegation.
Asante Kotoko officially cannot be relegated as they have secured enough points for survival. Currently, the Porcupine Warriors are 8th on the table.
In Accra, Accra Lions won 1-0 over Karim Zito’s Dreams FC with 20-year-old Bernard Kesse scoring the only goal for Ibrahim Tanko’s side to move to second.
Their last game of the season will be in Samraboi against the already champions Samartex SC.
