Real Tamale United scored the first goal in the 4th minute through Lord Adabo, per Flashscore and Sofascore so many thought Adabo was the scorer.

Dreams bounced back and scored 8 goals with Agyenim Boateng Mensah scoring five.

After the game, Lord Adabo granted an interview with Promise Radio and revealed that he did not even attend the game as RTU owes the playing body six months’ salary so they boycotted the match.

“I am not the player who scored the RTU goal against Dreams FC today. I am currently in Tamale and I didn’t play any game today. I’ve seen on social media that I scored a goal but all I can say is that there’s only one Lord Adabo in RTU and I’m in Tamale,” said Adabo.

This is very unbelievable as reports suggest of the 30 registered players by RTU, 29 of them didn’t attend the the 8-1 defeat but the matchday squad included them.

RTU are already relegated after a disastrous campaign.
