Ghana sits top of Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with three points ahead of second-placed Comoros.

The two wins in March over Chad and Madagascar have put Ghana in the right position for the sole slot in the group, although they must work extra hard.

Former Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has urged the Black Stars to double their efforts in the bid to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as he sees victory near the team.

“We have to work harder, as we want to qualify,” Vorsah said.

“We have qualified already for me, but we have to do the work well so that we can also go and watch the competition so that we can be happy that, as Ghanaians, we have also come for the World Cup,” Vorsah concluded.

Ghana has already qualified for four World Cups after making it’s debut in Germany in 2006.

The Black Stars will resume action in September with a trip to Chad and a home game against Mali in rounds 7 and 8 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
