Kwabre East Municipality: Man killed by brothers over single room bequeathed to them by their father

A 47-year-old spare parts dealer was beaten and killed by his brothers over a one-bedroom house in Aboaso Zongo in the Kwabre East Municipality in the Ashanti Region.

Muntari Bagio reportedly suffered severe injuries at the hands of his siblings, who were trying to gain control of the room left to them by their father.

The suspects, Kufulu, a teacher, and another brother known locally as ‘Who be you,’ were displeased that their half-brother, Bagio, had authority over the room.

The deceased had allowed a nephew to stay in the room. They wanted to take it away from him, but reaching a peaceful agreement was not possible.

They attacked him until he lost consciousness and died. It is claimed that certain community elders are protecting the suspects from legal consequences.

They reportedly decided to handle the issue themselves at home because of their family and religious connections.
