A suspected leader of a robbery gang has reportedly escaped from custody at the Ngleshie Amanfro District Police Command. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

The fugitive, believed to be a Nigerian national, was arrested earlier that morning along with two accomplices by a police patrol team.

Upon arrival at the station, the trio was handed over to Chief Inspector Dela Kumador and Constable Charles Tawiah, who were on duty at the counter.

According to reports, the suspect managed to flee after being granted permission to use the restroom, taking advantage of the moment to escape.
