Nicholas Apotei, a 25-year-old man, could not bear the pain of losing a woman he dearly loved. Nicholas, who lived in Edwenasi in the Ashanti region, decided to end it all as he faced the harsh reality of heartbreak.
He took his own life to escape his harsh reality. Preliminary investigations revealed that Nicholas was in a relationship with a woman named Perpetual from Bekwai. Still, about a week ago, she decided to end the relationship, much to his dismay.
Nicolas’s efforts failed to reignite the relationship. Brokenhearted Nicholas subsequently started threatening to commit suicide, which he eventually did.
He was found to have used a sponge to tie the noose to a ceiling fan in his kitchen. Whilst his iPhone 16 Pro Max was on the cabinet facing him, a police statement was disclosed.
Perpetual has since been invited by the police to assist in the investigation.
