Medeama SC lost 1-0 to the struggling Accra Lions in week 18 of the Ghana Premier League. The Mauve and Yellow’s struggle has continued since the sacking of Nebojsa Kapor as the head coach.
Evans Adotey, the technical director of the club took charge of their recent games but results have failed to improve under his guidance.
News from the club states that they are on the verge of agreeing terms with Ibrahim Tanko to become the new head coach of the Tarkwa-based club.
Ibrahim Tanko was recently sacked by Accra Lions after a disastrous run of results and it looks like the former Ghanaian international will not stay home for a long time. Tanko has vast experience after serving once as the assistant coach of the Black Stars.
Medeama sits 7th on the log having amassed 26 points from 18 games. The club is 8 points behind league leaders Asante Kotoko.
Ibrahim Tanko will be charged to qualify for the top 4 as it will be the minimum target for the club.
