“Who’s the Minister of Finance in Ghana? I have issues with this guy… We’re left with disappointing options,” Blackson wrote on X, calling for accountability regarding his USD 1m investment.

Ghana’s reputation has been damaged and there’s no two ways about that. Ghana has gain respect and admiration over the years for its hospitality and kindness from the African diaspora and the world in toto.

According to Ghanaian gospel singer, songwriter, and philanthropist, Sonnie Badu, Micheal Blackson’s revelation has damaged the reputation Ghana has gained over the years.

Micheal Blackson, a Ghanaian actor, and comedian based in the United States expressed his shock after learning that particularly his decision to invest in the country’s Eurobonds has backfired.

He explained that he hoped the bonds’ returns would help sustain the free school he built in Ghana, which requires $10,000 a month to cover operational costs such as teacher salaries, utilities, and other expenses.

The comedian built educational institution in his hometown located at Agona Nsaba in the Agona East District of Ghana’s Central Region in 2023.

In a recent update, Blackson shared that his assistant contacted him with concerns about threats he is facing from Ghaian authorities for disclosing that he has lost a chunk of the 1 million dollars he invested.

“My assistant in Ghana called me yesterday and said he was getting threats because of my tweets,” Blackson revealed in a tweet.

“Let me get this straight, I decided to come home because of the love and passion I have for home but I get robbed, and since I don’t have the power to fight back, I decided to tell the world my problem, and now they threaten my people,” he stated.

It’s extremely disappointing to hear such news about Ghana because the world feels Ghana is a Haven that could be trusted in terms of almost everything.
