Mikel Arteta hints at Thomas Partey renewing his Arsenal contract

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given a piece of good news to the Gunners family after disclosing that their bona fide central midfielder, Thomas Partey’s contract renewal is progressing.

The Ghanaian midfielder’s contract will expire in the 2025 summer with many big European and Middle East clubs showing huge interest in him.

Mikel Arteta, ahead of the club’s clash on Sunday at Ipswich Town, the manager revealed that Thomas Partey gave the Arsenal fans hope regarding the contract of the Ghanaian superstar.

“There’s progress with all the players. I’ll leave that to Andrea [Berta] to decide and talk about,” Arteta said.

Andrea Berta, the new Sporting Director, is tasked with renewing the contracts of the Gunners squad, with Partey’s situation the biggest on his agenda.

The intention is to keep him?, Arteta was asked by a journalist about Partey.

“The intention is very clear. I’ll leave that to Andrea and the club to take the steps forward,” Arteta said.

Thomas Partey has won all Arsenal fans’ hearts with wonderful performances in the current campaign, with many calling for his renewal as soon as possible.
