“Nine goals and four assists,” Semenyo responded when Mohammed Salisu asked him about the goals and assists he has provided for Bournemouth in the current campaign.

Mohammed Salisu retorted: “We need that on Friday”.

Antoine Semenyo is one of the finest forwards in the English Premiership after consistently suffocating defenders in the topflight with wonderful performances throughout the season.

The former Bristol City attacker has been a hit for Bournemouth since his move in 2023 summer. The youngster, who has many offers on the table from Champions League and Europa League clubs, has not been able to do well for the Black Stars due to the entire team not playing well.

He was motivated by his teammate Mohammed Salisu to replicate his Bournemouth performances for Ghana on Friday against minnows Chad.

Antoine Semenyo is expected to start alongside Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew and Ernest Nuamah in a four-man forward for Ghana against Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
