MTN FA Cup finals: Asante Kotoko unfurls banner to honour Pooley

The University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon witnessed a classic FA Cup tie that will live in the memory of Ghanaian football fans for quite a long time.

Division One side Golden Kick played above everybody’s expectations as they gave Kotoko a good run for their money. Fabulous fans attended the game in their numbers as the UG’s famous stadium was painted red.

At the centre line stand, a huge banner was unfurled by the vociferous Fabulous fans, which read, “Supporting from Heaven”, with Pooley’s picture on the right.

Francis Yaw Frimpong was cruelly murdered at the Nana Konamansah Park in Nsoatre on February 2nd when a yet-to-be-identified criminal stabbed him multiple times, which led to his demise.

Pooley was the biggest hype man of the Ghana Premier League as he was seen at every venue where Kotoko played.

The Porcupine Warriors announced to the world how they are missing their best supporter on Sunday afternoon and expressed their feeling that he is resting in Heaven.

Kwame Poku scored a brace, which helped the Porcupine Warriors clinch their 11th FA Cup title.
