A 32-year-old woman named Amanda Pascal, who stole from a church located at the 48 Engineer Barracks in Teshie, has asked the Accra Circuit Court for more time as she plans for an outdooring ceremony in March.

Amanda, who has been imprisoned for two years, is reported to have stolen a deep fryer worth Ghc1,500, a Bluetooth speaker valued at Ghc3,423.21, trumpet mouthpieces totalling Ghc6,820, a perfume priced at Ghc586, and six tins of sardines valued at Ghc200.

Amanda, a Nigerian citizen, reportedly seen on CCTV stealing the items, confessed to the crime in her caution statement.

She mentioned that she had used some items and had thrown away the trumpet mouthpieces, while only the deep fryer and the Bluetooth speaker were recovered. The case investigator stated that the young woman had been incarcerated by the LEKMA District Court in a prior case.

Amanda informed the Court that the Accra Circuit Court had previously found her guilty and sentenced her to nine months in prison for a different case.
