The Asantehene through the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation has cut sod for the construction of a 600-bed capacity girls’ dormitory for the king’s alma matter, Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School (SEWASS) in Sefwi Wiawso, the Western North Regional capital.
When the young Asantehene was sent to Sefwi Wiawso by his mother, the late Asantehemaa Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II to be tutelage by the late Wiawso Manhene, Nana Kwadwo Aduhene Okogyeabour II, the young Asantehene attended Sefwi Wiawso SHS for his ‘O’ level education.
The sod cutting was done on his behalf by his ‘father’, Sefwi Wiawso Manhene, Nana Kwasi Bumangama II, and the Board Chairman of Otumfuo Foundation, Nana Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene, Otumfuo Hiahene.
The project is being carried out by AESL for 12 months.
