Sadio Mane mocked for marrying a teenager

31-year-old Al Nassr forward, Sadio Mane tied the knot on 7th January in a grand style as teammates, staff of the Senegalese national team, family and friends were in attendance.

Per many reports, the ex-Liverpool star spotted Tamba Aisha when she was just 16 and informed his uncle of his plans to marry her when she gets 18 even though the legal age of consent in Senegal is 16.

Many people across the globe have been wondering about the age difference between the two as Social media users have been making fun of 31-year-old Mane marrying a teenager. The age difference is making people react differently as they wonder how Mane was managing Aisha Tamba when she was underage.

Others have mocked him over his decision to marry someone he is far older than.

Sadio Mane and his newly wedded wife share the same religion, speak Mandingo language and are very reserved.

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane received a beautiful message from the president of Senegal, Macky Sall.

“First of all, I would like to warmly congratulate our national Nianthi, Sadio Mane, who has just got married,” said Sall.

“I called him up so that we could applaud him and wish him a happy marriage.

“May God bless your home and your descendants. From now on you have another job apart from scoring goals” added Sall.

Senegal expects Mane to transfer his delight to the national team for the 2023 AFCON as they expect the Lions of Teranga to defend the title.

Senegal is in Group C with Cameroon, Guinea and the Gambia.
