While calling for the public, individuals, and institutions to invest in cybersecurity systems, the Director General (D-G) of the Cybersecurity Authority Dr. Albert Antwi Bosiako has highlighted some challenges facing businesses and organizations in the country.

At a workshop under the theme: Strengthening the Weakest Link in the Cybersecurity Ecosystem to Protect the Crown Jewels of Tertiary Education Infrastructure’ in Accra, the D-G bemoaned that:

“The advancement of cyberspace has exposed individuals and organizations to greater risk despite its numerous advantages. It’s not enough to invest in technologies to protect sensitive information, but to build the capacity of the people to man the system”.

The Acting Vice Chancellor of the Accra Technical University (ATU), Prof. Amavi Acakpovi also recognizes that students, faculties, and universities at large must be well-versed in cyber security defense.

“The treatment we face today may pale in comparison to those of tomorrow”, the VC pointed out.
