A headmistress of a senior high school has been defrauded of Gh¢560,000 in a travel visa scam.

A 38-year-old unemployed woman named Priscilla Koduah is accused of tricking the headmistress into paying money by pretending to help her retrieve three auctioned vehicles and obtain a travel visa.

Priscilla, also known as Maame Kraa, did not fulfil her promise, which caused distress for the educationist.

Maame Kraa, a former worker at New Mont Ghana Limited, has been taken into custody by the police.

Additional inquiries indicate that Priscilla is accused of defrauding several individuals of nearly Gh¢4 million.

The accused is said to work with an accomplice named Nana Yaw Stocks, who pretends to be a National Security operative and also claims to be the accused’s uncle to gain the trust of their victims.
