The spectacle in Saudi Arabia was indescribable as 26 cameras were used to cover the game. Ultra 4K technology was used to transmit the game with 4 flying cameras flying up the stadium to capture every moment. Goal line technology and VAR were used.

The game got off to an intense start with Zamalek going down through Abou Ali’s first half penalty after VAR judged Omer Gaber’s tackle on Akram Tawfik as foul. The Red Devils went to the break leading their arch rivals by a lone goal.

Nasr Manzi in the 77th minute equalised for the White Kinghts with a low drive to send the Zamalek fans to pure football heaven.

The game ended 1-1 with Zamalek wining 4-3 on penalties. Attiyat Allah and Abou Ali missed to help Zamalek win their 5th Super Cup. (1994, 1997, 2003, 2020, *2024).

Riyahd Season will give Zamalek SC USD 1.5 million as a special bonus from for lifting the 2024 CAF Super. In all Zamalek will receive more than USD 2m as prize money fro Riyad Season and CAF.

It is a record third time that CAF Confederation Cup winners has lifted the coveted CAF Super Cup with Berkane (2022), USM (2023) and Zamalek (2024) all shocking Wydad and Al Ahly respectively.
