The post-mortem of the Black Stars’ failure to secure a slot in the 2025 AFCON is not ending anytime soon per all indications.

It seems Ghanaian journalists aren’t over it just like football fans across the nation are concerning Black Stars’ disastrous 2024 performances.

Every sports journalist who gets the opportunity to interview any football brain in the country simply cannot do away with questions surrounding the Black Stars’ absence in Morocco 2025.

On Sporty FM, Kofi Iddie Adams disclosed that most of the Black Stars players have expressed their mistrust in head coach Otto Addo.

“Certain Black Stars players have voiced concerns about their trust in coach Otto Addo. The ministry will then consult with the Ghana FA over the gaffer’s retention,” Kofi Adams said.

Head coach Otto Addo’s job is still under careful scrutiny as his position has divided Ghanaians. Many want him sacked; many want him to remain as the head coach. The minister’s words simply mean that the Ministry will have a discussion on whether to let Otto Addo continue his job or not.

Otto Addo returned as the head coach of Ghana in March 2024 after Chris Houghton was sacked when Ghana exited the 2023 AFCON group stages.

He has won just two games in the 10 matches played. No major case of defence can be presented to defend Otto Addo because he has not convinced Ghanaians that he is the right man for the job.
