The most entertaining and competitive match so far in the ongoing Euro 2024 was played between Turkey and Georgia. The game had everything as both teams showed great determination to carry the day.

The Signal Iduna Park was all for the Turkish diaspora in Germany as they made their presence felt.

Turkey started brilliantly attacking Georgia right from the onset. The aggression, pace, and competitiveness earlier in the game from both sides made it so interesting.

The game had everything as 38 shots were recorded, three efforts did hit the woodwork and four goals of which two were beautiful and the last was so funny were scored.

Fernabache’s defender Mert Müldür scored an incredible volley to give the birthday man, Vicenzo Montella, who turned 50 something to celebrate. Turkey got a deserving lead after coming so close twice to scoring.

History was made by Georges Mikautadze who scored Georgia’s first-ever goal at a tournament in the 32nd minute after VAR had disallowed Turkey’s second goal.

It was a great moment for Georgia as the momentum switched to their side. They dominated the game and had their chances to take a 2-1 lead but couldn’t.

In the second half, Real Madrid’s wonder boy Arder Guler scored a beautiful goal that he will never forget in his life to give Turkey an incredible 2-1 lead in the 65th minute.

Georgia decided to go all out after missing a huge opportunity in the additional time. They had a final corner and goalkeeper Mamarshdavili decided to join his mates in Turkey’s eighteen-yard box. It backfired as Turkey got a counterattack with Kerem Aktürkoğlu running almost 70 yards and simply slotted in the ball to an empty net to round off an incredible afternoon for Turkey.

The game lived up to expectations as it was the most beautiful and competitive match we have witnessed so far.
