Many fans have demanded Prosper Ogum’s sacking after a disastrous second-half campaign in the Ghana Premier League.

Asante Kotoko’s woes started in 2024 with a 2-0 defeat in the FA Cup against the lowly Karela United. The troubles have continued and never look like ending any now as in the 9 Premier League games played, Asante Kotoko has recorded a single win, a single draw and a whopping 7 defeats. In the 2024 President Cup, Asec Mimosas won 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. This is how poor the team has performed in 2024.

Angry fans on Tuesday afternoon staged a mini protest against head coach Prosper Ogum and his entourage at Kotoko’s famous Adako Jachie training grounds which subsequently led to the team not training in the afternoon.

Players, the technical team and the Interim Management Committee were all in attendance at the Manhyia Palace on Thursday for their judgement.

Prosper’s future was decided by the club patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll as he urged Prosper to stay and turn things around.

Asante Kotoko resumes GPL action on Sunday in a blockbuster clash against the league leaders at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
