Club Patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll delivered a wonderful message to Prosper Narteh Ogum, the Asante Kotoko playing boy, the technical team and the IMC when he invited them to his Manhyia Palace.

Kotoko was in a huge mess as they had played nine league games in the second round having recorded just a single win, a single draw and an unbelievable seven defeats.

It was extremely embarrassing for the Porcupine Warriors’ family as his royal majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll, the fans and the playing body were not happy.

In an exclusive interview with Asante Kotoko’s YouTube channel, Ugandan striker Stephen Mukwala disclosed how Otumfuo’s message made everybody aware of how huge Asante Kotoko is as a football club and hence must fight for the badge.

“The communication and the motivation from the King, the words of wisdom…it reminded us, the players, fans and technical team of how big Kotoko is,” Mukwala told the club’s media.

Undoubtedly, Asante Kotoko is a humongous football club in Ghana as it is the most successful and well-supported football club in the country.

“We are talented, we have young players in the group. We just needed time to sit down and rectify some of the mistakes we made which didn’t help us,” added Mukwala.

Asante Kotoko has a very young and talented squad that indeed needs time to gel under the tutelage of Prosper Narteh Ogum.

In the last three games played by Asante Kotoko, they have won two and drawn one. The performance has improved immensely compared to the results before they visited Manhyia.

In Week 31 of the GPL on Sunday 25th May at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the Porcupine Warriors will host the beleaguered Accra Hearts of Oak.

A win for Asante Kotoko will certainly draw the supporters closer to the team once again because they love playing and beating their eternal rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.

Asante Kotoko will travel to Berekum Chelsea in Week 30 before the Super clash against Hearts of Oak in Week 31.
