17-year-old Blessing Dankwa scored twice against Berekum Chelsea in Sogakope at the WAFA Park on Saturday.

At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday night, Blessing Dankwah scored twice again to sink the already-sinking Asante Kotoko. This is his 3rd game in the Ghana Premier League but the youngster has scored 4 goals.

Fabolous’ start to the second round is so indescribable. This is their 4th defeat in the last 5 games. How are they going to revive themselves?  Prosper Nartey Ogum and David Ocloo are in huge trouble as the fans will start giving them pressure to deliver.

In-form Blessing Dankwah scored the opening goal in the 12th minute with Kalo Ouattara equalising for Asante Kotoko in the 21st minute. The first half ended in a draw with both teams looking ready to snatch the 3 points in the second half.

Ibrahim Tanko’s Accra Lions took another lead through Blessing Dankwa with just 3 minutes into the second half.

Dominic Amponsah made it three to put the game beyond Asante Kotoko’s reach as it was 3-1 in the 68th minute in favour of the unpredictable Accra Lions.

18-year-old Bernard Somuah in his 7th league appearance pulled one back for Kotoko but it was very late for a comeback.

This is the first time Accra Lions has beaten Asante Kotoko in their 6 encounters.

Accra Lions have scored a whopping 8 goals in their last two games. They have now moved to 10th place having won 27 points from 20 games with a game in hand.

Asante Kotoko travels to Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday to face Aduana Stars. This fixture can add much pressure on Prosper Ogum’s team. The Porcupine Warriors are 4th on the table and are separated by 6 points from the top after 21 games played.
