Nathan Kwabena Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, has reassured the public that the business model of Ignite Social Enterprise Limited is legitimate and does not condone fraud.

Mr Adisi, who is a Global Advisory Board Member of Ignite, made the statement during a special webinar organised by the company for Ghanaian journalists on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.

He said Ignite’s expansion into Ghana and other West African markets had attracted unscrupulous people attempting to misuse the company’s name to deceive members of the public.

Mr Adisi urged anyone who encountered such activity to remain vigilant and report it to the police so that the matter could be investigated and, where appropriate, prosecuted.

“Ignite is not an investment company. We do not take deposits from people. We therefore urge the public to be cautious when dealing with individuals who attempt to use our brand name to perpetrate fraud,” he said.

He also announced that Ignite is preparing to open an office in Accra, Ghana. The Global Advisory Board Member said compliance, responsible business practices and meaningful engagement with stakeholders would be central to the company’s operations.

The webinar was held to explain Ignite’s business model, products, technology and plans for supporting entrepreneurship in Africa. It brought together senior company executives, including Dr Shafi Shaik, Product Specialist at Sanarey, and John Healey, Head of Development and Strategy at Brainify.

Mr Venu Johl, Chief Market Development Officer, used the event to outline the company’s growth since its launch. He said Ignite had signed up more than 700,000 brand affiliates during its first five months, a figure that significantly surpassed the company’s initial expectations.

Ignite Social Enterprise Limited describes itself as a global social enterprise focused on helping micro-entrepreneurs achieve financial independence. Its people-first, social e-commerce model combines wellness and lifestyle products with digital tools, training and an AI-powered learning platform.

The company’s public warning follows its entry into new markets across West Africa, where Mr Adisi said the brand’s growing profile had made it a target for individuals seeking to exploit public trust. He stressed that Ignite does not accept deposits and that members of the public should not treat approaches made in its name as investment opportunities.
