Week 15 of the Ghana Premier League commences with a crunch clash between the in-form Nations FC against the beleaguered Accra Hearts of Oak on Saturday afternoon at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

Nations FC has seen a massive rise on the table after five successful wins between weeks 10 and 15. Kasim Ocansey Mingle deserves huge credit as he has been the brain behind the success of Nations FC. After a series of finishes in the relegation zone on numerous weekends, Nations FC are no longer among the teams discussed in the country to return to Division One.

19-year-old Barimah Baah has been a wonderful player for Nations FC as he has scored four goals. The experience of Prince Acquah alongside skipper Emmanuel Banahene has all been great for Nations FC so far.

Hearts of Oak’s continued trust in Abdul Bashiru has been catastrophic so far as he has won just one game in charge since Martin Koopman was sacked. The Phobians need a huge lift from the bench because their season has been horrible. With just three wins from 14 games played, it is very shambolic for the Accra-based club.

A first-ever visit to Dr Kwame Kyei’s Sports Complex to face Nations FC is a difficult one as they will face a much more confident side. A defeat in the Super Clash at the Baba Yara made it no win in the last four Premier League games. Goals scoring has been the biggest problem for Hearts of Oak this season as only Hamza Issah, the youngster, has stepped up.
