Ghana will travel to the Far East to face Asian giants South Korea and Japan as part of the preparations towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be played in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Otto Addo’s side secured a slot for the World Cup after beating Comoros 1-0 to win Group I.

After the mission was accomplished successfully, it did not take long for the Ghana Football Association to reach an agreement with the Japanese and Korean Football Associations for friendlies in the last international break of 2025.

The last international break of 2025 will be played in the second week of November, where the Black Stars will square off against the Samurai Blue of Japan and the Tigers of Asia of Korea.

The games are expected to be played in the National Stadium in Tokyo and Seoul World Cup Stadium in the capital of Korea Republic.

Ghana will face Japan on 14th November before meeting Korea four days later on 18th.

Both Japan and Korea have qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The two teams are making a record eight consecutive appearances at the FIFA World Cup.

Ghana defeated South Korea 3-2 in the 202 World Cup in Qatar.
