It looked extremely easy on paper for Nations FC as in a space of four days, they were playing relegation-threatened sides RTU away and Tano Bofoakwa at home. These two teams have struggled throughout the whole season and on any day, many will predict easy wins for Nations FC but it did not happen.

The shock started in midweek with RTU beating Nations FC 1-0. It helped the Samraboi side Samartex SC extend their lead over Nations FC in second place to two points.

On Sunday against the struggling Bofoakwa, Nations FC drew 2-2 to lose ground in the race for the title against Samartex.

Charles Mensah in the 15th minute gave Bofoakwa a shocking lead. Bofo ended the first half in a lead as Nations FC was panicking.

In the second half, Barima Baah scored with just a minute played to restore the confidence of the home side. Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng with 7 minutes to full time restored Boafoakwa’s lead. Prince Acquah with five minutes to the full 90 minutes levelled the score to 2-2.

Nations FC was not excited with the results but it is not all lost for the title challenge as they still have a chance with 7 games to end the campaign.
