Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has urged the Black Stars to remain cautious and focused on their World Cup qualification journey, despite their impressive 3-0 victory over Madagascar in the qualifiers.

Thomas Partey scored twice, and Mohammed Kudus added another, with captain Jordan Ayew providing all three assists in a dominant performance in Morocco.

While the win put Ghana in a strong position in Group I, Addo cautioned that the job is far from done. He stressed the importance of staying focused and avoiding complacency, especially with several games still left in the qualifiers.

“The task is not finished yet,” Addo said in the post-match press conference. “If anyone thinks we are through, they are making a big mistake.”

He also pointed out that even though Ghana has a good lead, teams like Comoros could close the gap, and the road to qualification remains long.

With qualifiers resuming in June, Addo emphasized the need for continued concentration to secure their spot at the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
