We are at that time of the season when match manipulation is the most popular phrase in the Ghana Premier League.

On Sunday in Nalerigu at the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre, Real Tamale United hosted Nsoatreman in Week 27 of the Ghana Premier League.

Nsotreman scored in the 94th minute through Collins Kudjoe to secure a 2-1 win over the troubled RTU.

The defeat left RTU still rocking at the bottom of the table with 25 points from 27 games.

RTU fans are blaming head coach Abdul Mumin for manipulating the match which helped Nsoatreman clinched the 3 points.

“For his safety, we have asked the head coach to abstain from training today. The supporters believe that last Sunday’s loss to Nsoatreman was manipulated,” revealed the club’s Public Relations Officer, Abdul Mohammed, when speaking to Akoma FM based in Kumasi.

This is a serious allegation as it tarnishes the image of the coach, the clubs involved, the Ghana Premier League and Ghana as a nation.
