A Ghanaian spiritualist known as Paa Dogo has reportedly remained unconscious for about a week after collapsing at the discovery that a nurse he was dating had rekindled ties with the same ex-boyfriend whose infidelity had once left her emotionally broken.
He was rushed to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in the Western Region on August 22, 2026, where he has since been under treatment.
Kasapa FM, which first reported the incident, said the pair’s story began when the nurse sought spiritual help after discovering that her boyfriend was cheating on her, an ordeal that reportedly left her psychologically unstable and prompted her family to refer her to a shrine for healing. Paa Dogo treated her there, and in the course of caring for her, developed feelings that blossomed into a romantic relationship once she recovered.
That relationship, however, is said to have unravelled abruptly. Reports indicate that Paa Dogo turned up at the woman’s home one day bearing a bouquet, only to be turned away at the door and told he could not come in.
Suspicious of her refusal, he reportedly pressed further and discovered she was inside with her former boyfriend, the very man whose betrayal had triggered her earlier breakdown.
Overwhelmed by the revelation, he is said to have cried out, “Aww Jesus, I am dead,” before collapsing on the spot.
He was immediately taken to hospital, where he has reportedly remained in a coma for close to a week. While the account of his condition has circulated widely on social and broadcast media, the full details of his medical state have yet to be independently confirmed.
