Three children found dead inside parked vehicle in Tamale

The Koblimahagu Zuo community in the Tamale Metropolis has been thrown into mourning following the discovery of three dead children inside a parked vehicle on Monday morning.

The children, aged three, five and eight, had reportedly been missing since Saturday, prompting a search within the community and appeals for information to help locate them.

Their bodies were later discovered inside a stationary vehicle, leaving residents shocked and raising questions about the circumstances that led to their disappearance and deaths.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and authorities are yet to establish how the children got into the vehicle and what caused their deaths.

Confirming the incident, the Assembly Member for the area, Seidu Fuseini, said the owner of the vehicle had been taken into police custody to assist with investigations. According to him, the vehicle owner told police that he had locked all the doors of the vehicle before leaving it.

A relative of one of the deceased children, Mohammed Juuna, also reported on social media that the children were found trapped inside the stationary vehicle within the community.

The bodies have since been conveyed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue, where autopsies are expected to be conducted to help determine the cause of death.
