The Bank of Ghana has published a list of 20 mobile loan applications operating in the country without the requisite licence or authorisation from the central bank.
In a notice dated August 3, 2026, and signed by the Secretary of the Bank, Aimee Vyda Quashie, the Bank of Ghana said it had observed the continued operation of entities providing digital loans to the Ghanaian public through digital channels without the requisite licence, in contravention of the Directive for Digital Credit Service Providers in Ghana (September 2025) and other relevant laws.
The notice, referenced BG/GOV/SEC/2026/25, follows an earlier notice (BG/GOV/SEC/2026/22) issued by the Bank on unlicensed Digital Credit Service Providers (DCSPs).
The loan apps named as operating without a licence or authorisation are:

2. Agyapacredit
3. Amanfi Loan
4. Arco Cash
5. Aya lend
6. Bucks Now
7. CediGo
8. CGrab
9. DumboCash
10. FCash
11. Gh Loans
12. Gh Loans pro
13. Hasty Credit
14. Newgry Money Tree
15. Omanpesa
16. PoPoCedi
17. Ready Money
18. Sika Tap
19. Sikapa Loan
20. Zigwe Loan
The Bank of Ghana said the operations of these entities constitute significant violations of customer data privacy, consumer protection and established regulatory standards.
It further cautioned Banks, Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions (SDIs) and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) against facilitating or processing transactions on behalf of the unlicensed loan providers.
The general public has been strongly advised not to engage with unlicensed loan providers. The Bank said it will continue to collaborate with relevant state institutions to identify, investigate and take appropriate enforcement action against such entities in order to safeguard consumers and uphold the integrity and stability of the financial sector.
Members of the public who become aware of the activities of unlicensed loan providers have been encouraged to report them to the Bank of Ghana through the Head, Fintech and Innovation Department, Bank of Ghana, The Bank Square, 42 Castle Road, Ridge, Accra, on +233 30 273 9650, or via email at fintech@bog.gov.gh or digitalcredit@bog.gov.gh.
