Charles Kwabla Akonnor, popularly known as CK Akonor has vehemently denied showing any sort of interest in replacing Prosper Narteh Ogum at Asante Kotoko.

The former Black Stars skipper coached Asante Kotoko between 2018 and 2019. It was rumoured during the period Kotoko went 9 games without a win, that is two weeks ago that CK Akonnor is interested in coaching Asante Kotoko once again.

“I was mad when I saw it because I didn’t say anything like that. I didn’t say I was interested in coaching the team, so I later called the guy who granted the interview, and he also denied it and said it was the bloggers who just twisted the story to get attention,” said CK.

The former Black Stars head coach says he was angry when he heard the news that he has shown an interest in being Kotoko’s coach.

Per Graphic Sports, CK Akonnor is not interested in the Kotoko job.
