It was Nigeria 1-0 Ghana as Nigerians celebrated Victor Okoh Boniface’s second goal for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2-0 win over Westham United in Germany in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.

In a very intense game, Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus was a bit quiet on the night as Xabi Alonso’s charges forced Westham to defend throughout the entire 90 minutes.

Super Eagles super striker Victor Boniface was introduced in the second half with fifteen minutes to win the game by manager Alonso and he expertly scored to make it 2-0 for the German side. And the moment that has gotten Nigerians ridiculing Ghanaians is Boniface’s celebration. The 23-year-old former Union SG forward hit Mohammed Kudus’ famous celebration of sitting on the advertising board to show his back to the spectators.

Nigerians teased Ghanaians on Social Media on Thursday night because Boniface came on from the bench and scored while Kudus started and didn’t score as his team (Westham United) lost 2-0.

The second leg is slated to take place on Thursday 18th April at the London Olympic Stadium where Westham United will bid to overturn the 2-0 defeat suffered in the first leg in Germany against Bayer Leverkusen.
