A senior lecturer and a Faculty Member at the Department of Fisheries and Watershed Management of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Godfred Owusu-Boateng has died at the University campus in Kumasi.

According to a Facebook post by one ClassPee Della Russel, the Dr. Owusu-Boateng shockingly passed away at the KNUST Hospital.

ClassPee Della Russel narrates: “He was reported to have gone to the Tech hospital to deposit his brother-in-law’s body in the morgue.

“However, he collapsed near his car at the hospital’s car park while about to leave for home.

“Onlookers rushed him back to the hospital, but he unfortunately gave up the ghost even before health officials could attend to him. May his soul rest in peace,” the Facebook post read.

The cause of his death is unknown.

He was 55 years old.
