On Saturday, relegation-threatened Karela United defeated Aduana Stars 2-1 at Dormaa Ahenkro with many fans of the Ogya Boys suspecting match fixing in the tie.
One angry fan who is believed to be closer to the team and truly loves the team has been captured pouring libation on the Nana Agyeman Badu Park. The fan said the forefathers of the Dormaa Ahenkro land who have supported Aduana all the time should act. He begged the spirits to let the case rest if Aduana Stars fairly lost to Karela but urged the gods to strike whoever was involved in the alleged match-fixing that led to the 2-1 defeat on Saturday. He even implored the gods to kill those involved in the allegation.
Aduana Stars are third on the league log having accrued 33 points from 28 games. They trail the league leaders, Samartex, by 10 points. The Ogya Boys have lost five in their last seven league games and have won just two.
