Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will be sidelined for the rest of the season following surgery on his right quadriceps muscle, which took place on Tuesday.

The Premier League club, facing the risk of relegation, announced that the 25-year-old English player is anticipated to resume full training during the preseason.

Hudson-Odoi, who has scored six goals this season, sustained an injury during Forest’s Europa League quarterfinal match against Porto last Thursday.

Forest is five points above the relegation zone with five matches remaining in the Premier League season.

The team will compete against Aston Villa in the semifinals of the Europa League.

Hudson-Odoi announced on social media that his surgery went well and that he will return stronger and improved.

The former Chelsea player has played three times for the England national team.

He has also been approached by Ghana, which has allegedly attempted to convince him to change his allegiance.

Ghanaians were waiting to see Odoi join the team for the 2026b FIFA World Cup, but everything points to the fact that the winger may not be fully fit for the tournament in North America in the summer.
