The magic happened once again at the Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid scored twice in three minutes to condemn Bayern Munchen to elimination from the UCL.

It was always going to take something special for the La Liga champions to break down Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich.

With nothing much to separate them in the first half, the game sprung to life in the 68th minute with Canadian international Alphonso Davies opening the scoring with a sumptuous finish with his weaker foot from the inside of the box.

In the 87th minute, Bayern was still leading but Real Madrid equalised after veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer failed to comfortably catch Vinicius’ shot. Substitute Joselu capitalised on Neuer’s error and equalised for Real Madrìd.

In the second minute of the extra time, Joselu had the easiest job by tapping in Rudiger’s cross to give Los Blancos the lead. Polish Referee Szymon Marciniak signalled that the goal stands after initially being pulled out for offside.

It was a huge party for the Madridistas after the final whistle as they jubilated while Bayern Munich was deeply disappointed.

Bayern Munich will go trophyless for the first time since the 2011/2012 season after exiting the UCL.

It is all set between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund for the finals of the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League season at Wembley Stadium.

The mouthwatering clash is scheduled to take place at 7 pm on 1st June in London.
