Erastus Asare Donkor of the Multimedia Group Limited has been crowned Best Journalist of the Year.

He emerged as the overall best journalist at the just-ended GJA Awards held in Accra International Conference Centre on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Erastus was, among other things, recognized for his report on irresponsible mining in the country.

The 27th GJA award ceremony was held under the theme “Leveraging media freedom to sustain the democratic and security architecture! The litmus test of election 2024.”

The night crowned 28 media personalities and entities for winning various categories.

Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Madam Jean Adukwei Mensah was the guest of honour for the event.
