Evans Augustine Adotey, 59, is set to return to his technical director role to make way for ex-Tema Youth Bosnian tactician Nebojsa Kapor as the new head coach for Medeama SC.

Medeama SC was beaten 3-0 in Dar es Salaam at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium by Young Africans in Week 4 of the CAF Champions League. A few hours after the game, Evans Adotey was informed to step aside from his head coaching role to make way for Nebojsa Kapor.

Evans Adotey led the Mauve and Yellow to their first-ever Premier League triumph and helped them secure qualification to the money zone of the CAF Champions League. Medeama has decided to sack Evans Adotey because of inconsistency in results. The Mauve and Yellow are third in Group D of the CAF Champions League as qualification is now a difficult task. In the Ghana Premier League,  Medeama is currently lying in 12th position with just 16 points won in a possible 33 albeit they have four games in hand.

Augustine Adotey’s sacking is a bit surprise looking at the opponents in the CAF Champions League.
