Probably, you can describe it as the last supper, the Black Stars of Ghana are expected to depart for the Ivory Coast on Wednesday. The team,  coaching staff and the other leaders of the team had a dinner which featured an imperial fleet of personalities.

The father of the land, Akufo-Addo Dankwa, Sports Minister Mustapha Yussif,
Spokesperson of the National Sports Authority, Charles Amofa, reggae and dancehall artist, Stonebwoy, singing magician Afua Asantewaa and many other important personalities graced the occasion.

They bid the Black Stars farewell and assured them of the entire nation’s support for the team.

“Know very well that you have the support of Ghanaians. Go all out and make us proud. Government with the active support of the GFA has made all the arrangements necessary to make this possible,” said the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Adda.

It was all smiles at the Golden Beam Hotel in Kumasi on Tuesday night as the Black Stars’ entourage dinned with the president.

Through Andre Dede Ayew, the captain of the Black Stars, the president handed over the flag of Ghana to signify support from the government.

Ghana has been without the coveted AFCON trophy for almost 42 years as the Black Stars are housed in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
