The passing of a former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy did not come as a shock to only Christians but also the the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.
According to Dr. Bawumia, he received the news of the passing of Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy as a sad one.
“Apostle Dr Michael Ntumy impacted humanity and deserved the accolade “God’s Chosen General.”
“My wife Samira Bawumia and I extend our sincere condolences to the immediate family and the Church of Pentecost.”, the Vice President posted on Facebook.
Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy has according to sources, died at his home in Germany after prolonged illness.
The former chairman who recently retired from active service, has served as the church’s chairman for ten years from 1998 till 2008.
Apostle Dr. Ntumy was confined to an electric wheelchair in February 2009 after a surgical operation on his cervical spine. But despite this predicament, he continued his service to the church till his retirement in 2023.
Before becoming a clergyman, Michael Ntumy in the 1980s, worked as a teacher in Yendi and then transitioned to the roles of Deacon and Elder in the church.
