Famous Ghanaian actor, Nana Yeboah, has criticized the youth of Kumasi, particularly those in Bantama, for what he called “silly behavior” occuring on the high street of Bantama, a popular suburb in the Garden City.
In a video shared on social media and sighted by Kapitalradio971.com, the Kumawood star was heard criticizing the youth for often splurging on expensive alcoholic drinks and meat on the popular Bantama Street.
Nana Yeboah revealed that while driving home from Accra on New Year’s Day, he was astounded by what he saw when he used the Bantama high street.
He said he had arrived in Kumasi at around 2am in the morning, having traveled there to participate in UTV’s Day With The Stars program. He said on the way to his home, he saw a lot of young people spending a lot of money on meat and drinks.
“From ‘G’ [referring to Okomfo Anokye roundabout] to Abrepo Junction was full of the youth, no vehicle could even pass through. They were just spending money on drinks and meat,” he shared.
He asserted, “You guys must be wild awake and put an end to the silly behaviour. Stop blaming everything on the government. Take responsibility of your own life.”
Nana Yeboah chastised the youth for leading such an absurd and pointless lifestyle. He felt that instead of blaming the government, youth should make an investment in their life.
He encouraged the youth to take responsibility for their own life, as according to him, “no government will magically appear and put money in your pockets.”
